dont you know that the south was more evolved than the north in previous times ?
just the kheops pyramid is kind of proof of it but then what ?
how come those "glorious" got so wasted ?
how many autarky countries is there left ?
if those "previous" civilizations was so advanced, seeing how they actualy do today, it dont seem we have a lot to learn from them, wrong ?

i do think that some poor people need help and we can give some but if its at the price of having our countries wasted, i cant agree and wont anyway.
you know, at some point, no countries will be able to help any other if this continue. (if its not the case already in some ways)
